After a long and stressful week I must admit all I wanted to do last night was to switch off my computer, sit on the couch with a bowl of soup and watch Love Island. However, my diary was not allowing me to do so and I headed out to buzzy Barbican to attend the DrivenWoman & Blooming Founders Summer Party with the wonderful Emilia Powell https://www.emiliapowell.co.uk/ (she is brilliant by the way). Having attended quite a large number of networking events when I was a Private PA I believe I have become a networking grinch lately and tend to be on the picky side. This one however was a breath of fresh air. It was all about women empowerment and how we should help each other. After such a hectic week it was really uplifting to be surrounded by successful and/or talented female entrepreneurs who are passionate about their ideas and work so hard to make it all happen.
London is becoming such a fantastic hub for start-ups and events such as this one play an important part in our journey to success. It also means that we are not alone and that there is so much support out there. Sometimes it is worth pushing yourself a little and getting out of your comfort zone. London is packed with opportunities for everyone so get out there and make the most of it!
